Making art starts for me with being touched.

And capturing images that arise.

Searching for the form in which to express myself.

Solutions arise by experimenting and making.

In the wrestling with materials and techniques, from sketches to abstract paintings, 

in the wrestling with myself, trying, looking, stepping back, repainting and starting all over again

In all of this lies my pleasure and satisfaction of making art. 

My themes are mostly about

fading memories

of people, animals, landscapes,

melancholy, saudade

Wanting to hold on, 

and having to let go.
